Summer 2025

During my Summer 2025 internship with Development Solutions, Inc. in Chicago, Illinois, I had the unique opportunity to work on-site on multiple tenant improvement and ground-up projects, gaining valuable hands-on experience in how architectural drawings are translated into buildable solutions. My work included assisting with project scheduling, cost estimation, and quality control while participating in on-site coordination meetings with contractors and design teams. Furthermore, I reviewed construction documents, tracked material submittals, and observed field installations to ensure accuracy and alignment with the design intent.

The following images illustrate my involvement in developing a light fixture layout for a millwork ceiling, as well as laying out ceiling device placement in preparation for site walks with the design team. This experience deepened my understanding of the construction process and strengthened my ability to bridge the gap between conceptual design and physical execution.
